General product statement

Allergens, non-GMO, suitable for human consumption, food safety and defence standards, microbiological origin, compliance with regulations, packaging suitable for food contact, food additives, sourced from non-animal origin, vegan, animal welfare, devoid of nanotechnology, non-ionising, excludes sewage sludge, antibiotics, dioxins and solvents, free from petrochemicals, MOSH/MOAH, no heavy metals, and no hazardous substances. Compliance with organic winemaking regulations

Several Oenobrands products are authorised for use in organic winemaking, according to both the European Union Regulation (EU) 2018/848 and the USDA National Organic Programme (NOP).

  • Our yeasts, enzymes, bacteria, and derivates are rigorously selected and comply with strict non-GMO standards. For EU organic certification, only additives and processing aids listed in Annexe III of Regulation EU 2018/1584 can be used. Oenobrands’ yeast strains are not available in an organic form and are therefore permitted in organic winemaking under current EU legislation.
  • Most of our products also comply with the USDA NOP requirements, qualifying for use in wines labelled as “organic” or “made with organic grapes.”
